Quote: You know, in all of human history, only one word - a verb - has ever been invented that adequately summarizes my reaction every time a member of the Ushra'Khan opens his or her mouth. Or, indeed, my whole attitude towards the Ushra'Khan.
That word is "facepalm".
For someone who constantly professes their lack of interested you seem very concerned about anything to do with any 'discussion' on Slavery, Evils of the Amarr, e.t.c. You clumsily wade in at any opportunity, usually trying to support the Amarr by attempting to buffoon anything you cannot understand. Don't you have a war to fight?
Or did you lose already?

Quote: "Lack of interest"? On the contrary, I am extremely interested. Where did you get the impression that I was otherwise?
So why, given your dismissive attitude towards the Minmatar, are you so interested?
My original sig was 'Enjoy lag free play in a dynamic space MMORPG'. It was removed for lack of EVE content! ;) CCP say 'Shut up about bugs and eat your eye candy!' |

Quote: "Dismissive" is the wrong term. I think they're dangerous: all fire and zeal and unrestrained passion, lacking in finesse and precision. Especially the organization you belong to.
I want to see slavery abolished in the cluster, but I want to see it done intelligently, carefully and completely. I want to see the Amarr renounce it when they've finally realized that it's a bad idea, not have it shot, bombed and bloodily removed from the cluster by force of arms. They need to be convinced that they're wrong, not that they're outgunned.
While I understand the sentiment, that path is unfortunately a dead end. Trying to reason with the Amarr, attempting to discuss the economic failings of Slavery, e.t.c. doesnĘt work. Slavery in the Amarr empire is underpinned by a religious conviction that hears no logic, understands no reason, and it based on faith alone. How can you argue with the word of a supernatural (non-existent) entity?

Quote: Besides, Amarrian history has repeatedly shown that, while one cannot argue with the word of God, one can certainly argue with the interpretation thereof.
The very people you try to reason with will tell you that your not 'enlightened enough' to debate with them, or some other such nonsense. Slavery in the Amarr empire will only be stopped with firepower.
